Tomorrow marks the end of Recycling Week, a week to bring focus to the way we recycle, what we can and can't recycle and why it's important for our planet.
But recycling isn't just about sorting your rubbish into the correct bin, it's about using items as much as possible before they get to the bin, especially if they are like bubble wrap and can't be recycled.
Using what we have instead of consuming more products that will inevitably end up buried in the ground is vital for our survival.. an important thing to remember as the festive season approaches.
While Christmas is an amazing time of year it's also the most wasteful and damaging part of the year for our planet. While avoiding plastic all together is very hard these days, why not make the choice to have this be part of the decision making this year. For our children's planet ♥️🌲

☀️The creation of Dove Designs was born from the idea to create beautiful homewares using recycled materials. A venture initially spurred on by my eldest son who had a keen interest in recycling and the environment.
☀️All products are handmade (by me) in Far North QLD, Australia.
☀️All products are made using cement and recycled plastic and glass.
☀️I have always loved making things and exploring new creative outlets.
